Voting Question: My Ex has all of my furniture, but won't speak to me. Should I still try to get it?

I broke up with my ex almost 4 years ago. I was in the process of moving out of state and gave him my futon, leather chair and some other items until I returned to my hometown. He agreed to hold on to them until I returned to the midwest Shortly after I relocated, he and I broke up after a terrible dispute. 1 year ago, I moved back home and tried to smooth things over. He blocked me on Facebook. I learned that he had a new girlfriend and didn't want me in his life. After a whole year, I am now financially stable enough to move out. I am moving out in a couple of days and have no funds for furniture. My friends report that he still has my stuff in his place. Is it too much to ask him to return the furniture as we originally agreed. more

im 17 and turning 18 in 3 months, so im moving out soon (hopefully). about a couple weeks ago i bought my niece a sims 2 computer game and she fell in love with it. i often played it with her, i had my laptop and she had my sisters then i began to get bored with the game but she didn't. so one saturday i left for the whole day and came back around 9. i was out with my chick friends and i invited them in. when my niece saw them she went up to the prettiest one and said "im afraid he's not going to be able to go out next Saturday because he's going to be with ME he's mine mine mine! not yours!!" my friend started to giggle and i told my niece to stop it. i often find my niece in my room looking through my drawer of underwear and sh!t and im like "wtf!" i ask her why and she gives me the same answer every time "i was just looking for something"she also tries to peep at me while i change!!! isint that Fuck!ng weird!!? it gets me sorta pissed because it's weird. she claims that she want to be "goth" like me and "dark" i hate it when she calls me "goth" it so very fuck!ng annoying.she even says that im "cute" and "nice looking". she follows me everywhere and always tried to rub up against me. if im sitting on the couch with the laptop she's come up close to me and keep scoohing towards me until i tell her to let me breathe to go away. if im on the futon, watching a movie, she'll come up next to me, be like 10 inches away from me, then before i know it she's right up against my chest saying "you're so warm, but you look so white and cold like my favorite vampires! hahah!!!: and i HATE twilight. one last thing that really got me like "WTF?" was when onFriday night i was going out to a party with my friends. i put on my tight black leather pants, metal tipped boots, and i put on all my piercings and gel in my hair and mussed it up. i could say that i was looking pretty good myself. i came out of my room and she was standing there with a "dreamy" look in her eye.and i was like WWTTFF! when she told me "justin! you have a big lump in your pants! hahahahah!!" then i told her "what are you doing up shouldn't you be asleep it's already 9:30!" and she said "but i want you to read my a story!!!" and i called my sister to take here away. the thing that really freaked me out was that she only had a long shirt on, and no pants, she was wearing underwear but i dint know why she's doing this. does it sound like if she likes me?! plus shes always carrying around a rubber snake when she's around me, i've read that this might be a possible "phallic symbol" SERIOUS ANSWER PLEASE, WHY IS SHE DOING THIS??!well, she's always staring at my crotch! i can't help that it's there! like if i come out of the bathroom with a towel around my waist, she'll be like "you have a pretty tummy" and ill be like "omg...wat" more

i have a futon i bought at walmart for about 150 bucks. its nice, kinda small tho. anyways, i think it was called faux leather, fake leather? it must be. its white. and id like to keep it that way. what cleaning would you do? more

Resolved Question: What is a inexpensive, but comfortable sofa lounger for my first apartment?

I've been looking around and I can only find either a cheap sofa lounger that is not comfortable or a comfy one that is not cheap. Does anyone know of a good place to find a decent sofa lounger, besides IKEA (unless you have personally had a good experience with it)? It will be used mostly as a couch in my little studio apt, and also for guests to sleep on every once in a while. I would prefer to spend no more than 200-300 dollars and I would like it to be black microfiber, not leather. I found one on Kmart's website, it's called the Elite Mali Flex Capital Collection Futon, but it only has 3 reviews (all good). I'm sceptical to buy it though because I haven't tried it out for myself ( they didn't have it at the store, only online). Has anyone had one of these or know anything about the brand? I have a nice 42" plasma tv, with black stand with glass shelves, and plan on getting a brown leather futon, and a black dresser with shelves. I have a Budda from my passed Grandfather (Just decoration), but I also have a Medieval Knight in armor. I feel like one will be out of place if I don't choose the right theme. I love the Asian stuff better and I can find a lot more of it (wall scrolls, ninja swords, bamboo things, and I love cherry blossoms). Or I could get stone wallpaper, other swords and my knight. I also love dragons and both themes use dragons. Either way the room will look cool. What's your oppinions? more

Resolved Question: For the love of God, and all that is holy, what ARE these bugs?

This is about the 3rd time I've posted this question, each time I revise it a little because people keep saying "mites" - but these things look NOTHING like any of the pictures of mites I can find. After observing them for 2 weeks, I can explain a little better: The "babies" are almost impossible to see, and white. The "adults" (assuming these things aren't sprouting wings and flying away) are only SLIGHTLY larger (about the size of a grain of sand) and they have mild greyish/brownish coloring - but I could be off! At the size they are, it's very hard to see what color they actually are. I'm assuming they'd look pretty gnarly under a nice magnifying glass, or microscope. Here are some quick facts: - They have "infested" a fake leather, black table thing. As well as a Korg Triton (a keyboard), and a little white futon with a cloth cover - but they haven't touched my leather couch ~ which is only a few feet away from my other things, or about 45 seconds travel time for these little critters that seem to swarm in a way - They don't jump ~ they crawl, and QUICKLY in relation to their size. - I believe, but am not certain, they may have been transported from a beach in Southern California, to my home in Santa Barbara, if any bug-experts need to know the location they were found - I have no reason to believe that they have been biting me, I just get the "heeby-jeebies" when I see them and suddenly FEEL them all over me when they aren't really there - I only have 1 plant, it's tiny, and no where near where they are hanging out I've been given a lot of amateur suggestions on what they might be... but I can't find any images on google that match up with any of that. I'm starting to wonder if I don't have a new species of insect living in my apartment... Not fleas. Not crabs. Not lice. Too big to be dust mites. Too FLAT to be a mite - all the mites I see have big asses sticking up in the air. ALSO ~ They appear to have little antennae sticking off the front of them. more

I wanna buy a cheap $200 futon for my guest room. It is made of brown leather and I think it's really cute, but it will probably be uncomfortable (as all futons are) unless I buy a squishy mat to go over it, plus a down comforter. Especially anything with stuffing.. Stuffed toys, his bed, furniture... He has chewed open a seat in a leather couch, a chair from a sofa set, a futon and an outdoor lounger. Any advice on how to get him to start? My summer hours will be a lot longer and we are running out of options for him... Resolved Question: New furniture smell - how to get rid of it?

I've had this situation a couple times where I've gotten new furniture - once a futon mattress and now a desk chair - and they smell bad - like heavy duty mothballs or something. It's winter now so I don't want to stick the chair outside (it's leather) but the smell is giving me a headache. Anyone had this experience and found a good way to rid the smell? The futon mattress I could put some febreeze on it to help, but I don't want to spray it on leather. Does anyone know what that stink is? I read that it may be teflon, but don't know.
